Catanese Classics is proud to announce the Grand Opening of our new location inside the Greater Cleveland Food Bank on Waterloo Road. Although we officially began operating in the space in May 2025, we were thrilled to welcome family, friends, local businesses, and city and county officials to our grand opening celebration last week. The event gave us the opportunity to share the story behind Catanese Classics and showcase our new 42,000 sq. ft. production and office facility. After 42 incredible years serving retailers, restaurants, and kitchens across Ohio, we’re excited to begin this next chapter for Catanese Classics.
Founded as a seafood company, Catanese Classics has continued to grow and evolve to meet the needs of our customers. Today, our offerings include an extensive range of specialty products, from local, domestic, and imported seafood to cheeses, meats, spices, and artisanal specialties. In addition to fresh seafood production, we proudly operate a custom spice program and a cheese cutting and packing operation.
Our relocation marks a major milestone in our long-term growth. “For a couple of reasons,” said CEO John Catanese. “With an expanding product line and growing workforce, we have outgrown both of our Cleveland locations. We needed a larger facility with room to grow, and we’ve always wanted to consolidate our two buildings and three divisions under one roof.”
After extensive planning, the company selected the Greater Cleveland Food Bank building as its new home. “We are very excited that our new location is in the Greater Cleveland Food Bank building,” Catanese added. “We’re thrilled to be part of the Food Bank community—strengthening our partnership and collaborating with them on current and future opportunities.”
This move represents far more than a new address—it marks the start of a meaningful community partnership. By joining the Food Bank campus, we’re supporting its mission while expanding our business, creating new jobs, and giving back in impactful ways. From rent that directly supports Food Bank programming to food donations and involvement in community initiatives, we’re honored to contribute to something larger than ourselves.
We look forward to deepening our partnerships with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank and the many nonprofit organizations that share this space. Together, we’re excited for increased collaboration, new opportunities, and an expanded positive impact across Northeast Ohio.
